Hey everyone, it's been really long since I've last updated my blog.
About two posts ago, I mentioned that I'll be raving about Teresa Agnes on the reason why she has always been my favourite character in The Maze Runner series!
So here it goes!
I just watched The Scorch Trials film yesterday! I honestly really liked the movie, but I was also disappointed at the same time because it was literally nothing like the books! I'd still give the movie a rate of 85/100 since it had really stunning visuals displayed and it was very interesting too!
For those who have read the books and are about to watch the film soon, my advice to you is that you should watch the film with an open mind! AND, FORGET ABOUT THE BOOKS AS YOU WATCH THE FILM. Because IT'S SERIOUSLY NOTHING LIKE THE BOOKS. Hence, you'll be able to enjoy watching the film with a piece of mind!
By the way, I do notice that most TMR book readers/fans seem to grudgingly look down on Teresa Agnes. Look, as much as I understand their point of view, all I can say is that Teresa has made a really terrible decision, which she definitely must have deeply regretted it, BUT IT WAS DONE OUT OF GOOD & SELFLESS INTENTIONS.
ALLOW ME TO BEGRUDGINGLY EXPLAIN TO Y'ALL,
Based on what I read in the books with my limited understanding, Teresa Agnes was labelled by WICKED (World In Catastrophe, Killzone Experiment Department) as GROUP A, SUBJECT A1, THE BETRAYER.
Since WICKED's main objective was to find a cure for the man-made Flare virus through the study of the IMMUNES' (+ few non-immunes) brain chemistry, they made these subjects undergo many ruthless trials.
And one of the "ruthless trials" that Thomas (the central protagonist) had to face, was being betrayed by someone who meant so much to him, AKA his one and only best friend who probably was also his love interest, AKA Teresa's Betrayal.
The betrayal scenario was already planned before Thomas' & Teresa's memories were wiped & also before they were sent to the maze.
The whole purpose of this betrayal scenario was for WICKED to see significant results in Thomas' brain chemistry, such as all the hurt & emotions Thomas was going to experience throughout this betrayal which was DEFINITELY GOING TO AFFECT HIS BRAIN PATTERNS.
After Group A escaped their maze, and when they eventually went on to Phase 2, both Aris & Teresa were assigned to carry out this betrayal scenario AGAINST THEIR WILL. In other words, TERESA WAS FORCED TO BETRAY THOMAS FOR THIS PURPOSE.
Obviously Teresa kept refusing when she was asked to carry out such a ruthless task, but she was threatened that if she does not carry out this betrayal scenario, Thomas will die.
Sadly, no matter how smart Teresa was, she was not necessarily wise. I mean, honestly, after all the efforts WICKED put to ensure that Thomas is alive, why would they just kill him for such a thing? But Teresa fell for it anyway, so both her & Aris went on with their tasks & did all kind of things to ensure that Thomas feels extremely betrayed.
In conclusion, Teresa could have fought WICKED back. But at the very same time, Thomas had always meant so much to her. Let alone he was her love interest too, he was her one & only best friend that she made after her 2-years stay in WICKED without any friends.
Teresa never really betrayed Thomas, she was an actress throughout this betrayal scenario. She pretended to betray Thomas. But of course, Thomas did felt extremely betrayed & found it really hard to forgive her. He could no longer trust her either.
As much as I know how Thomas feels, it still saddens me because Teresa made this terrible decision for Thomas himself; she didn't want Thomas to be killed, so she went for it.
Well, the betrayal in the film was so much more different than in the books though.
The betrayal in the film was an actual one. An actual betrayal. Done by her own will, but her reasons was still reasonable though.
In the film, Thomas never trusted WICKED ever since his memories were taken from him, which left him to his new thinking, so his ultimate goal was to redeem himself & free the Immunes & non-Immunes from being under WICKED's control. Ever since Teresa received her memories back in the film, her conscience told her that Thomas was not doing the right thing by turning his back on WICKED & that they should return back to WICKED headquarters to finish their mission on finding the cure to the Flare virus, but Thomas was not on her side. Teresa went on betraying him eventually, no matter how much Thomas meant so much to her as she knew that her priority was saving the human race.
I've always loved Teresa Agnes because I can relate so much to her. She's been in so many situations that people tend to always misunderstand her. Sure, she's really beautiful, but she was not that pretty flower that people would look upon to.

CURRENT OBSESSION: YOVANNA VENTURA
I'm back. How are you doing, everyone? It's finally the month of May, and things have been going smoothly for me.
There's so much for me to look forward to in this month. Firstly, The Scorch Trials teaser trailer will be released very soon. Secondly, my mother's birthday is approaching real quick (19th Of May) Thirdly, I've finally messaged this person that means so much to me. I tried to cheer her up, and it seemed to have worked. It's been a long time since we've last messaged each other. She's really beautiful and has a gorgeous heart. And it's just one of the reasons why she means so much to me.
I'm actually supposed to be posting on why Teresa Agnes (From The Maze Runner) is my one and only true heroine in the TMR series so far, but I've decided to postpone that and blog about Yovanna Ventura instead. (I hope you're not mad at me, Teresa)
I am aware that she was famous as she used to be one of Justin Bieber's Flings. (I know that sounds pretty ridiculous, cringe for all you want. Pft.)
She's also my current woman crush, just to let you know. And there are definitely reasons on why do I look up to her right? Yeah, so that's exactly what I'm going to blog about.
As you can see, I follow Yovanna on Instagram. She tends to upload videos of her workouts frequently, and I really admire her motivation on the importance of keeping herself fit and healthy. (She probably does it to keep herself sexy too, seems like it man)
Whenever I watch her workout videos, it motivates me to do something similar. In fact, I'd make it a point to keep myself fit by exercising on the elliptical that my parents own sometimes.
Another reason on why I look up to Yovanna is because of the way she deals with her haters. She simply ignores them and continues to do what makes her feel good about herself.
Ya know, especially when you're famous, there will always be idiots out there who are going to waste their time on criticising you continuously. And Yovanna's one of the people who taught me to do the exact same thing, which is to ignore them.
There are definitely more reasons on why I look up to Yovanna, other than the fact that she's gorgeous, of course. But I'm feeling rather tired now, and I never thought that blogging can actually rob so much of my time man.
Before I end off, don't forget to check out my Tumblr!

THE MAZE RUNNER: THE REASON WHY IT'S MY FAVOURITE SERIES
It's been a long time since I've last posted something, and I'm pretty sure almost everyone I've met are quite curious why exactly I'm utterly obsessed with The Maze Runner series!
The series are mainly about what these young Immunes and even including a small group of those who weren't even immune went through, concepts such as erasing their memories away, putting them into the middle of the mazes to see how they've escaped, surviving through making their way to safe haven in a scorched waste land and so on. All for the sake of analysing their brains in the name of science and medicine.
One of the reasons why I'm utterly obsessed with this series is because I loved how the plot went. It's amazing how James Dashner could come up with such story-line! I'm so thankful for his existence.
Another reason is also because of this one and only true heroine that I really look up to. Teresa Agnes, which I'll be raving about her on my next post in time to come!
I'll be back soon.
I'm going to give you a rough background on what the series and the plots are about based on my limited understanding, especially for those who haven't read the books, it's for the sake being able to understand my post better.
Here is goes,
It all began when the world was just like how it is today. As we all know, solar flares, in other words, large explosions occurring in the Sun's atmosphere, they tend to happen from time to time in the Sun.
In the world of The Maze Runner, it's Sci-Fi, Post-Apocalyptic and Dystopian-Future based.
It all began when the solar flares were severely on-going, when all of a sudden, they scorched certain parts of the Earth. The places that were affected by the solar flares became scorched waste lands.
Ever since the solar flares, as predicted, many people died on a massive scale. Many countries were affected and were going through famine, and it was tough taking care of the civilians since they were severely running out of natural resources.
Knowing that the world was already in catastrophe, out of desperation, governments from all over the world decided to come into coalition and form an organisation known as WICKED. It actually stands for World In Catastrophe, Killzone Experiment Department.
The organisation decided to come up with this man-made virus which targets the killzone (the human brains). This virus is very highly contagious, and it eats up the human brain. It is then known as The Flare, named after the solar flares. (Obviously) Their main objective of releasing this virus was to cut down population quickly, since they were severely out of resources to feed their people, as mentioned in the above. (I know it's so cruel and abhorrent, they have already regretted it so much)
After the release of the virus, the results were way more disastrous than they had ever planned. Yes, they had managed to cut down population, but it was cut down on a severely massive scale. The human race was already on their knees of extinction.
Afterwards, WICKED discovered that there are actually a small group of people who are immune to this virus, but it was like only less than 1% of the world population. They were known as the Immunes, and many people out there hated them, probably because they were envious that at least the Immunes still had some hope when it comes to survival.
WICKED then decided that they were going to select some of the Immunes, especially the ones that were still very young, to undergo ruthless trials in order to analyse their brains, to find out why they're different, why were they even immune to this extremely dangerous virus. Then that was when they hoped that they could come with at least a vaccine or even a cure through their brain patterns to get the blueprint. (Ruthless? Yes, like what I said, it was out of desperation. To save the human race from extinction.)
They selected the Immunes based on their intelligence and qualities (Maybe qualities like leadership? I don't even know. One of the books even specifically mentioned that WICKED congratulated Thomas for being the 'Real Leader' by carving that sentence all over the city.)
To find out what they've went through and whether the cure was finally discovered or not, simply read the books! (The Maze Runner, followed by The Scorch Trials and it all ends with The Death Cure. There's a prequel to the trilogy though, which is The Kill Order and it follows up with The Fever Code, which will only be released next year!)
I'll be back soon.
